Wishlist
This is a list of fanlistings I would LOVE to own. It will probably be subject to change, and I'll try to update it as I apply for any of the subjects as well... Wishes are in no specific order.
Avatar (Movies)
This movie. Wow. It completely blew me away, both storywise and artistically. The general plot was enough to draw me in
and make me want to see the movie to begin with, but what kept my eyes glued to the screen for the full movie was the engrossing
story and the AMAZING graphics.
Fantasy genre (Movies)
Fantasy movies. I don't think I can explain my love for these. They let me escape reality, they pick me up when I feel down,
they never cease to amaze me, old and new movies alike. My first "real" movie memory is of watching The Neverending Story, and
how that movie sucked me in - even more so than the book did. It still remains one of my favourite movies, and one of the many that
I turn to when I'm sick and need some comfort.
Fantasy genre (Literature)
Fantasy books, my other favourite escape from reality. I am a huge, HUGE fan of the fantasy genre,
especially the Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Wheel of Time series. I also enjoy Neil Gaiman's books - they're magical!
Harry Potter series/any (Literature)
What can I say about this series that hasn't already been said? From the first page, I was so utterly hooked that I have since spent hours
working on a semi-authentic costume, lining up to get the books at midnight, trying to convince doubters that Harry Potter isn't just for
children... I love it, simple as that. Wouldn't pass up any of the movie fanlistings either, but the movies ain't got nothing on the books.
Hermione Granger (Characters: B/M)
It's hard to choose a favourite character from Harry Potter, but if I absolutely had to choose just one and my life depended on it,
I would go with Hermione Granger. She's clever, sassy and the best friend anyone could ever ask for. I've loved her character since the
first book, but her "performance" in the final book closed the deal.
Albus Dumbledore (Characters: B/M)
My second favourite character from the Harry Potterverse. When Dumbledore shows up, you know everything will just be alright, one way
or another. He's the rock, the cliff, the safe haven. His death... It was about as painful to me as any fictional death has ever been.
Gilmore Girls (TV Shows)
If I could, I'd take my family with me and move into this show permanently.
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (Games)
The best video game ever made, hands down, no doubt about it. This is the one game I never tire of, the one I always want to play.
I love the story, the graphics, the gameplay, the characters, the soundtrack...everything! It fails at NOTHING.
The Lord of the Rings - series/any (Movies/Books)
Some of the best books ever written, and without a doubt the best movies ever made. Visually breathtaking doesn't even begin to cover it.
The casting is superb, the soundtrack really sets the mood - it all just comes together perfectly, in such a way that you hardly notice
the differences from the books, not enough to properly care.
Beauty and the Beast (Animation)
Best. Disney movie. Ever. And that's saying something, because Disney? Owns me. The Beauty and the Beast is enchanting, and has a soundtrack
that never fails to make me sing along and hum the songs to myself for weeks after.
Other wishes
These wishes are not as major for me as the above ones are, but they none the less deserve to be here.
